Sleep Trainer & Sleep Consultant for Pittsburgh Families

The Family Sleep Coach supports Pittsburgh-area families two ways. Val offers virtual sleep training — often called sleep consulting or sleep coaching — building your family a custom sleep plan, with ongoing text and email support along the way. Kelly, based nearby in Washington, PA, provides in-person overnight newborn care for families throughout Pittsburgh and southwest Pennsylvania, so you have hands-on, in-home support right there with you through those early sleepless weeks.

Between the two of us, we cover families from Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, and the South Side, out through Mt. Lebanon, Upper St. Clair — where Kelly spent seven years teaching at The Goddard School — and Bethel Park, up to Cranberry Township and Sewickley, and throughout Washington County.

Kelly brings 25 years of experience with children to her overnight newborn care, including 16 years as a classroom teacher, most recently as a building substitute for Trinity Area School District. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and a Pennsylvania teaching certification. She lives in Washington, PA with her husband and their two kids, and when she's not on an overnight shift, you'll usually find her at a local park or cheering on the Washington Wild Things or the Pirates.

Whether you're dealing with short naps, frequent night wakings, a toddler resisting bedtime, or need hands-on overnight support with a newborn, reach out to find the right fit for your family — virtual sleep training with Val, in-person overnight care with Kelly, or both.
